    The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for supporting the Director of Individual Giving in the planning and implementation of strategies and activities related to securing individual gifts through direct response, annual giving and cultivation and stewardship activities. This individual will take the lead in continuing to implement strategies to build and expand the broad and diverse base of current 55,000+ donors while managing a revenue goal of 14 million out of a 20 million dollar individual revenue goal.

    Responsibilities

    • Overall supervision of cultivation and stewardship, direct response and annual fund programs including direct supervision of 2 team members.

    Provide day to day supervision and support to Direct Response Manager to execute direct response solicitation efforts including but not limited to overall planning, strategy, implementation, analysis and evaluation of the direct response program including acquisition and renewal campaigns, web-based efforts and managing external vendor relationships.


    Provide day to day supervision and support to Cultivation and Stewardship manager to plan and execute stewardship and recognition efforts with donors at all levels including overall strategic planning and implementation of the goals listed in the work plan.

     

    • Develop, manage and expand annual giving program for donors under $10,000 in conjunction with Director of Individual Giving and other development team members. 

    Develop and expand mid-level program to increase donor support including managing a portfolio consisting of approximately 150 donors.

     

    Provide thought leadership to help develop strategies to obtain and act upon donor input, such as giving and contact preferences; manage annual donor survey.

     

    Expand workplace/employee giving program with donors at all level in conjunction with the Corporate team.

     

    Support Director of Individual Giving in writing proposals and stewardship reports to all donor levels as needed.


    Facilitate tours at GCFD/offsite to all donor levels as needed.

     

    • Support the Vice President of Development, Director of Individual Giving and other members of the team in identification and cultivation and solicitation of donors. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and five years of fundraising experience required, including at least three years of experience with high volume, complex direct response fundraising efforts, annual giving experience and stewardship experience required.
    • Supervisory experience required.
    • Strong project management and time management skills.
    • Excellent analytical thinking skills.
    • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Convio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong writing, communications, and leadership skills.
    • Flexibility and sense of humor.
