Manage the marketing and logistics of food drives (traditional and virtual) for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, with established annual goals for monetary donations. This individual will collaborate with multiple departments across the organization to ensure the success of food drives. This role drives an ongoing year-round marketing and awareness effort to help the Food Depository build ongoing relationships with food drive partners, and to encourage a shift from non-perishable food donations to online/digital giving. The most important time of year for this role is the October through February, during our 1 City 1 Food Drive campaign, where we call on every Chicagoan to join us in the fight against hunger. During the critical holiday season, this individual will be located with the Operations team.
This role is responsible for the marketing and account management for our food drive program. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Answer all questions regarding food drives/overall hunger issues in Cook County
Engage with coordinators to promote the cause and other facets of the organization
