  • Overview

    Develop current and new food donations through managing the following business segments: Food Rescue, Produce Donor Base and Food Show Salvage and Local Manufacturers. Support the design, creation and execution of donor relationship strategy.


    • Develop and execute the cultivation, stewardship and solicitation strategies for prospective, current and lapsed donors
    • Soliciting and educating new donors about the benefits of donating  to the food bank; identify targeted stores by retail account; create and implement onsite visitation plans
    • Initiate and develop new relationships and maintains existing relationships with donors to support the department’s budget targets and work plans. Act as primary salesperson and liaison for donated food acquisition
      • Builds a consistent relationship management data base (Raiser’s Edge) on all potential and existing donors and vendors
    •  Coordinate all logistics and relationship building for food acquisition activities through increases within Produce pickup  program
    • Work with Communication team to ensure recognition of retailers where applicable
    • Create and maintain work plan based on department’s objectives, and priorities
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 4+ years experience in sales capacity, preferably in outside sales in the food industry
    • Food industry experience required
    • Tact, diplomacy and ability to work effectively with a variety of people
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis, with database reporting (i.e. Jet) a plus
    •  Capacity to analyze and manage large data sets
    • Must have strong project planning, execution and problem solving skills
    • Personal transportation and valid license and insurance
    • Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
